Details

This pre-K-secondary curriculum teaches harmony and diversity for Australia’s Harmony Week. It teaches equanimity, compassion, and awareness. Since 1999, more than 77,000 Harmony Week events have been held in childcare centers, schools, community groups, churches, businesses and federal, state and local government agencies across Australia.

While Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, it could be celebrated in any country. Buddhist educators seeking to create celebrations and holidays and harmony could easily incorporate this celebration into their schedule. There are adaptable lesson plans organized by age group and theme.
