Michelle Macioce brings 25 years of teaching experience and deep Buddhist practice to her role as Project Lead for the Middle Way Education Curricular Framework. As a longtime elementary educator, most recently at Adelante Charter School's Spanish-English dual-immersion program, she has championed bilingualism, equity, and social justice in education.A dedicated student of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche and active volunteer with Siddhartha's Intent, Michelle has pioneered innovative approaches to integrating Buddhist principles—including mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and ethical reasoning—into secular educational settings. Her work demonstrates how contemplative wisdom can enhance both academic learning and personal development.Currently serving as a Middle Way Education board member since 2020 and curriculum team member since 2023, Michelle leads the development of educational frameworks that make Buddhist wisdom accessible across diverse learning environments.
