About
The College for Higher Buddhist Studies (Thrangu Tara Abbey Shedra) was inaugurated in March 2004. Currently there are 53 nuns studying in an eight-year program. Four teachers are nuns who completed their studies at the Central Institute for Higher Buddhist Studies in Sarnath, India. All four of teachers has attained Acharya, the highest degree awarded by the institute.
