Update: Public Launch September 9th + New Features!
Dear Buddhist Educators
and Dharma Learning Community
What’s New
Spiral Curriculum Design
Our public launch features 21 learning goals differentiated across all five age bands (ages 4-18)—that’s 84 new learning goals total—in addition to the 175 previously published for ages 15-18. Each topic spirals through unique elements year by year.
Enhanced Learning Goals
We’ve added three new fields—Teacher Experience, Implementation Possibilities, and Assessment Ideas—and reordered everything to prioritize experience and understanding before action.
New Tools & Features
- AI lesson planning tool for quick draft creation
- Theravada-only content toggle for simplified browsing
- Social Justice pathway mapping to Learning for Justice standards
Growing Partnerships
Lion’s Roar and Tricycle have generously opened their paywalls for our users, while 84,000 and Windows into Buddhism provide featured sutra translations and teaching resources.
Looking Forward
We’re having productive conversations with educators across traditions worldwide, building toward flexible teacher training systems that support educator autonomy in diverse contexts. Our vision remains creating a common language for Buddhist and Buddhist-curious educators everywhere.
Updated Resources: Check out our refreshed Vision and Foundation page and new Letter to Educators that capture the energy behind this work.
